BEHIND THE SCENES
Our journey began through heartfelt conversations between our founder, Sarah, and the determined women of Outback Queensland.
They shared a longing for garments that reflect their bond with the land—shirts decorated with motifs of horses and cows.
With their stories in mind, Sarah teamed up with the gifted designer, Steph, to capture the true spirit of the Outback in a design aptly named "The Outback Cow."
Our talented designer Steph Perrins, embarked on a design journey deeply influenced by her travels through the sweeping landscapes of the Australian Outback.
From the open fields dotted with grazing cattle to the iconic silhouettes of windmills against the skyline, her experiences were rich with inspiration.
Drawing on the vivid stories of local graziers and their profound love for the land and its lifestyle, Steph's designs beautifully encapsulate the soul of the Outback.
The Rural Outback Linen Collection has been named a finalist in the 2025 Clean + Conscious Awards — a recognition that reflects more than just beautiful design. It honours our commitment to creating sustainable, ethically made clothing that respects both people and planet. Every piece in this collection is crafted from certified organic linen, custom-dyed and hand-stitched in collaboration with rural artists and skilled artisans. This recognition is a proud moment for our community — a celebration of thoughtful fashion rooted in purpose, place, and conscious impact.

Bringing the story to life
As excitement built, we held a heartfelt photoshoot on the scenic lands of Glen Ample, Aramac, graciously hosted by the Curr family.
Their sprawling agricultural operation left even Sarah, with her deep roots in agribusiness, in awe.
Captured beautifully by local photographer Brittany Beetson from Winton, the photoshoot crystallized the spirit of the Outback in every image.
And as if nature itself wanted to join in, a rare shower of rain blessed the day, turning the red soil into a dance floor of mud where joy and gratitude flowed freely.
Crafted in limited quantities, this special collection captures the essence of the Outback and celebrates the strength of the women who thrive there.
We invite you to become part of our exclusive Outback Linen community and embrace a piece of rural elegance that resonates with the soul of this remarkable land.
