The Red Rural Outback Shirt
Every piece we make starts somewhere. This one started with the kids who learn a very long way from a classroom.
Rural & Remote Education Day falls on 16 September. It's a day for the children doing school at the kitchen table, the mums running lessons between paddock jobs, and the teachers who show up for families scattered across enormous distances.
We made this shirt with the Isolated Children's Parents' Association — the same original embroidery as the rest of the Rural Outback collection, in a red custom-dyed to echo the colour of the country it came from. It took three goes to get that colour right.
Grazing horses, working windmills, and the quiet detail of a place you know by heart.
Made the way everything is
100% pure linen. Sizes 6 to 24, because inclusive sizing has never been an afterthought here. Made ethically in India by family-run makers we've worked alongside for years.
