The women behind the wool

Homestead Road was founded by Bridgitte Brooks, a fifth-generation wool producer and mother of four, who could not find merino that suited the way rural women actually live. Everything technical, or everything plain.

So she made her own. Australian merino pieces built for a day that starts before dawn and does not stop, designed to move from paddock to town without a change of clothes.

We share more than a postcode with Bridgitte. Same belief in natural fibres, same customer, same conviction that clothes made for real life should still be beautiful. Bringing her wool into Outback Linen felt less like stocking a brand and more like introducing you to a friend.
